Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM and Ms. Komple Sharma, Director, AMCHAM called upon Mr. Sunil Barthwal, Commerce Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India on February 8th. The objective of the meeting was to apprise Mr. Barthwal about the 3rd edition of AMCHAM’s GCC (Global Capability Centres) Summit on February 17th, 2023 in New Delhi and AMCHAM’s proposed 31st AGM in April 2023. Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are offshore units of large multinationals set up to support the parent company. These centres establish dedicated teams that carry out certain functions. India is quickly becoming a strategic hub for global corporations due to its talent pools (particularly in the field of technology) and the cost benefits associated with India. GCCs are one of the key drivers of the U.S.-India partnership.
