AMCHAM’s Cyber Security Committee members led by Mr. Amrit Singh Deo, Chairman – Cyber Security Committee, AMCHAM and Senior Managing Director, FTI met with the newly appointed National Cyber Security Coordinator, Lt Gen M.U. Nair on October 18th at his office to discuss several key points. Members congratulated Lt Gen M.U. Nair on his new role and listened to the National Cyber Security Coordinator’s (NCSC) perspective on India’s cyber security posture and industry involvement. Members provided an update on the cyber security strategy paper from 2020 and expressed a desire to collaborate on a refreshed version, considering emerging technologies, post-COVID concerns, AI, and IoT. Additionally, AMCHAM explored the possibility of coordinating multiple agencies for uniform cyber security directions and discussed the potential for joint sessions with relevant ministers and agencies. Finally, they proposed a roadmap for engaging public sector Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) to enhance cyber resilience in critical sectors, suggesting a CISOs workshop. AMCHAM expressed anticipation for a continued fruitful engagement at the NCSC office.
