Economic Affairs
Economic relations between India and the United States comprise of bilateral trade in goods and services and investments across several industry sectors. Presently the bilateral trade between the two countries is pegged at about 150 billion USD and the two governments have set their sights on achieving 500 billion USD in the near future.
The two governments, over the years, have established several agreements, MOUs and bilateral platforms to review, examine and increase trade and investment between the two countries. The Economic Affairs Committee provides inputs to these ongoing dialogues and conveys the concerns of AMCHAM members to these bilateral platforms.
