AMCHAM’s Eastern Region Executive Committee held their 4th meeting on November 16th in Kolkata. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Atanu Mukherjee, Chairman – Eastern Region, AMCHAM. With the unfortunate passing earlier this year of esteemed member Mr. Sudipta Sen, President and Head of India, TCG Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Debjyoti Gupta, Chief Technology Officer, TCG Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was welcomed to the Eastern Region Executive Committee in his place. Discussions focused on finalizing a few forthcoming interventions and strategies on how to enhance the visibility of AMCHAM in the region. Members shared the following themes as focus areas — application of AI in different sectors, digital carbon footprints and diversity and inclusion. On December 6th, the Eastern Region would hold a roundtable discussion on the application of OpenAI in the education sector, in collaboration with the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal with Mr. Larry Nelson, GM Education Asia, Microsoft as the keynote speaker at the session. AMCHAM would be planning other sessions on digital carbon footprints and D&I. The meeting concluded with thanks to the Chair.
