Northern Region Council Executive Committee Meeting

11th September 2020

AMCHAM’s Northern Region Council Executive Committee had its first meeting for 2020-21 on September 11th. The meeting was chaired by Mr. William Blair, Chairman – Northern Region, AMCHAM and Vice President and Chief Executive Lockheed Martin India Private Limited. The committee was briefed by Wg Cdr Rajiv Anand on the status of actionable points from the previous meeting. Members extensively discussed the aspect and importance of interaction with states in north India and the format of Joint Working Groups being proposed for the same. Discussions also centered around how AMCHAM can be supportive of the national initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat by engaging at the right levels and be active partners in this direction. This would also capture and recognize the relevance and significance of U.S. FDI in economic revival within states. Members offered to support state initiatives with data and work that has already been accomplished. The council would summarize decisions taken during the meeting and prepare an action plan accordingly.

7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series Session V – Compliance 2020: What Lies Ahead?

The Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee organized the finale session of its 7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series on September 10th. The theme of the session was ‘Compliance 2020: What Lies Ahead?’ Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel, Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services gave opening remarks and encapsulated the master class series 2020 and its takeaways. Ms. Bhawna A. Ranganadhan, Co-Chairperson – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, Legal and Compliance, Genpact, introduced the expert speaker. It was followed by a presentation by Mr. Arpinder Singh, Partner and Head – India and Emerging Markets Forensic & Integrity Services, Ernst & Young LLP. The presentation covered wide ranging topics like compliance program w.r.t COVID-19, increased risk of frauds, recent updates pertaining to the regulatory landscape in India, key trends in corporate compliance programs – Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order 2020, cyber security, CSR spends, digital transformation and DoJ guidance note. He also quoted survey results from the EY Global Integrity Report, 2020. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session with participants. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani and Ms. Bhawna A. Ranganadhan gave the concluding remarks.

7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series: Session IV – Investigations

The Anti-Corruption and FCPA Compliance Committee organized the fourth virtual session of its 7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master on September 3rd focused on investigations. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel, Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services gave opening remarks and provided an overview about a global economic crime and frauds survey conducted by PwC. Ms. Bhawna A. Ranganadhan, Co-Chairperson – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, Legal and Compliance, Genpact, introduced the speakers. It was followed by a presentation on investigations by Mr. Rahul Lalit, Partner, Forensic Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited and Ms. Moushumi Vaidya, Director, Forensic Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited. The presentations encompassed FCPA enforcement trends and actions, investigation cycle and the typical issues that get investigated, considerations for investigations and practical nuances, need and approach for ABC analytics, use of digital techniques and AI in investigations and recent case studies. The presentation was followed by Q&A session with participants. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani gave the concluding remarks and a sneak peek of the next session.

Medical Technology Working Group Meeting

AMCHAM’s Medical Technology Working group met virtually on September 2nd under the chairmanship of Ms. Aileen Nandi, Honorary USG Chairperson – Healthcare Committee, AMHCAM and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Ms. Meenakshi Nevatia, Chairperson – Medical Technology Working Group, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Stryker India and Mr. Manoj Madhavan, Co-Chairman – Medical Technology Working Group, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Boston Scientific. During the meeting members had an interactive session with U.S. Embassy officials: Ms. Aileen Nandi, Mr. John Cabeca, U.S. Intellectual Property (IP) Attaché for South Asia and Ms. Ann Mason, Trade and Technology Unit Chief. Members deliberated points on the health cess, PPO, pricing, standard, labelling and UCPMP based on the meetings AMCHAM had with Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The meeting concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Manoj Madhavan who thanked members for their valuable inputs.

8th Healthcare Conference: Digital Health – Future of Healthcare

AMCHAM’s 8th Healthcare Conference: Digital Health – Future of Healthcare was held via Webex on August 28th morning. The conference began with Mr. Prakash Bodla, Chairman – Hyderabad Chapter, AMCHAM, welcoming speakers and setting the scene on digital healthcare. Consul General Joel Reifman, U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, spoke about the importance of health and how India and the U.S. are working together in bringing about quality healthcare. He highlighted American companies in India doing tremendous work in this space. Ms. Maryam Ghoulani, Chief Product Officer, Digital Innovation Group, Providence Health, spoke on the use of technology – smart assistance and trust which make caregiving easier. Dr. Vipul Aggarwal, Dy CEO, National Health Authority, spoke on what the government was doing in the space of digital health and making data driven decisions, reducing inefficiencies, optimizing costs, and improving access. 7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series: Session III – Interaction with the U.S. Department of Justice

The Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee organized the third session of its 7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series on August 27th with the U.S. Department of Justice. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, welcomed participants to the exclusive session. She gave a brief overview of the masterclass structure. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel, Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services, gave an overview of the anti-corruption landscape in India. Mr. Puneet Singh, Legal Attaché, U.S. Embassy, explained how the FBI has legats worldwide that regularly organize trainings, share best practices, collaborate on investigations, etc. It was followed by a discussion on the overview of the new guidelines issued by DOJ in 2020 and the role of the FBI in assisting DOJ for FCPA investigations by Mr. Christopher Cestaro, Chief of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) Unit, U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section and Mr. Jeffrey Coleman, Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), International Corruption Unit, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Energy Committee Meeting on Sustainable Development and Energy Efficiency

25th August 2020

Members of the AMCHAM’s Energy Committee met on August 25th to review the progress of the position paper on recommendations for the use of energy efficiency technologies and low GWP refrigerants in HVAC/R primarily. The meeting was led by Mr. Chirag Baijal, Co-Chairman – Energy Committee, AMCHAM, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and Chairman & MD, Carrier India. The other participants were from Johnson Controls, Honeywell UOP and Carrier. It was agreed to create a wholistic document with a balanced view which would be progressive for the economy and the country. It was felt that the key objectives of energy efficiency and sustainable development should be balanced with the priorities of the government together with a forward-looking view which addresses issues such as climate change. Subsequent meetings will debate members inputs towards finalizing the document. The committee also felt that it had a much bigger role to play in the energy sector with areas such as the health impact of HVAC and a seed fund for technology-based interventions to improve efficiency and GWP to start with.

Eastern Region Executive Committee Meeting

AMCHAM’s Eastern Region had its first Executive Committee meeting for 2020-21 on August 21st. Mr. Gulshan Sachdev, Chairman – Eastern Region, AMCHAM, welcomed members present and updated them on the recent National Executive Board meeting held on August 7th. Mr. Sachdev discussed membership renewals for the Eastern Region and asked all committee members to also help in identifying American companies working in the Eastern Region as potential members. The NextGen Leadership Program for 2020-21 and monthly events were also discussed. It was decided that bi-monthly Executive Committee meetings would be held.

Meeting with Mr. Navdeep Rinwa, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers

AMCHAM’s Medical Technology Working Group met with Mr. Navdeep Rinwa, Joint Secretary Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on August 18th over video call. The meeting agenda was to introduce AMCHAM and how the Medical Technology WG members were committed to India. AMCHAM members shared the Medtech presentation to DOP which focused on 1) the Health Cess and removal of BCD exemption on implants and the way forward 2) stability in pricing and regulatory policy – need for harmonized standards, knee price order and introduction of trade margin rationalization as a basis for pricing framework 3) Public Procurement Order – how can DOP as nodal Ministry support research to determine which products could be locally manufactured vs those that could not be. Members pointed out the current situation of the Medtech industry and the issues faced. It was a positive engagement with Mr. Rinwa where he encouraged members to come up with innovative solutions to the challenges. ‘Collective Initiative Towards India’s COVID-19 Fight’ in partnership with Action COVID-19 Team (ACT Grants) and United Way

AMCHAM organized a webinar in partnership with United Way and Action COVID-19 Team (ACT Grants) to talk about ‘Collective Initiative Towards India’s COVID-19 Fight’ on August 18th. ACT Grants is an INR 100 crore grant fund, created by India’s VC and start-up community, to give wings to ideas that could combat COVID-19 with immediate impact. ACT has partnered with various foundations – Wadhwani Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and Omidyar to deploy grants. Since its launch 4 months ago, ACT Grants has a presence in 22 states across India, including key hotspot states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. ACT’s impact can be seen along various initiatives in 8 tracks: prevention, telemedicine, testing and detection, PPE and N-95 masks, ICU and hospital capacity augmentation, mental wellness, sustenance and vaccination and treatment. The speakers were Mr. Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner, Accel, India and Mr. Sandeep Singhal, Co-founder & CEO, Medusind Solutions, who also serve as Investment Committee members of ACT Grants. The webinar focused on helping companies with customized offerings to suit particular CSR objectives, partnerships with high performing grantee companies and how they can Leverage ACT to build brand visibility. Attendees were from companies like Cargill, Lowes, Parexel, Western Digital, Netapp and others.

Members discussed the recent announcement on the abolishment of offset banking and discussed the requests ranging from inclusion of civil aerospace and services, uncapped penalty, India value addition, removal of regressive multiplier of 0.5X on components and introduce definition of ‘components’ and requested extension indirect offset discharge to ‘ToT to Indian enterprises/sourcing.’

Interpreting DoJ’s Guidelines on Evaluating Corporate Compliance Programs

AMCHAM’s Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee organized a webinar on Interpreting DoJ’s Guidelines on Evaluating Corporate Compliance Programs on July 17th. Mr. Sumit Makhija, Partner – Forensic Financial Advisory, India, Deloitte was the expert speaker. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel: Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services (P) Ltd. welcomed participants. The webinar focused on the interpretation of the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) guidelines to help organizations improve their compliance programs and plug gaps, if any. Mr. Makhija gave an overview of the guidance note issued by the DoJ, interpretation of the revised guidance and what it would mean for companies. He discussed practices to ascertain the strength of current compliance programs with the guidance and also interacted with participants. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Bhawna A. Karnataka Chapter Executive Committee Meeting

The focus of the conversation was on how the Karnataka chapter could engage members and drive value during the current COVID-19 lockdown crisis with interesting webinars and speakers and chapter engagement with the Government of Karnataka. Measures to expand AMCHAM’s awareness and engagement with non-member companies to create new members were also discussed. AMCHAM’s Medical Technology Working Group met with Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on July 15th over video call. The meeting agenda was to introduce AMCHAM and how U.S. medical technology companies have been committed to India. AMCHAM members shared a Medtech presentation with DPIIT which focused on the impact of Health Cess to date, discussion on the way forward, stable policy road map leading to ease of doing business and the Public Procurement Order. Welcome Wellness at the Workplace – an initiative of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee

On July 10th, AMCHAM’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee organized a webinar on ‘Welcome Wellness at the Workplace.’ The session commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, followed by an address by Ms. Kaku Nakhate, Vice Chairperson, AMCHAM, Chairperson – Diversity & Inclusion Committee, AMCHAM and President & Country Head, India, Bank of America N.A. While emphasizing on the need for leaders to involve themselves in the D&I agenda, Ms. Nakhate shared an overview of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and highlighted Bank of America’s initiative that focusses on the emotional, physical and financial wellness of employees. This was followed by an address by Mr. David J. Ranz, Consul General, U.S. Consulate General Mumbai and Honorary USG Co-Chairperson – Diversity & Inclusion Committee, AMCHAM. Through his address Consul General Ranz highlighted the Consulate’s initiatives such as regular townhalls to address employee concerns and conversations leading to constructive actions on best practices and inclusion. HR Committee Meeting

On July 7th, the HR Committee organized the first meeting for the year 2020-2021 over a video call. Ms. Tanya Paul, Communication Director, AMCHAM and Ms. Komple Sharma, Manager, AMCHAM, welcomed the participants. Mr. Chaitanya N. Sreenivas, Chairman – HR Committee, AMCHAM and VP HR & HR Head India South Asia, IBM and Ms. Achal Khanna, Co-Chairperson – HR Committee, AMCHAM and CEO, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), apprised participants about the committee and its agenda for the year 2020-2021. The committee finalized three topics to focus on – future of work, mental wellness and the labor code. It was also decided to make sub groups based on members’ preference and each sub group would drive its agenda and subsequently dovetail into the broader committee agenda. A virtual meeting of AMCHAM’s Northern Region Committee was held on June 17th, 2020. Mr. William Blair, Chairman – Northern Region, AMCHAM and Vice President and Chief Executive, Lockheed Martin India Private Limited, welcomed members and shared an overview of the valuable initiatives being taken by AMCHAM in partnership with regional members to support and work along with various state government in north India. Director General (Acquisition) and Special Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Apurva Chandra, and his team of technical managers interacted with U.S. industry association members over a virtual interface on June 16th. The discussions were based on the submissions to the Government of India on the industry comments sought on the DraftDPP2020. The U.S. industry comments were deliberated upon section by section and discussed at length over the hour and a half long interactive session organized jointly by AMCHAM, USIBC and USISPF. On May 13th, AMCHAM, in partnership with TechnoServe India and John Deere India, organized a webinar on ‘Assessing the Degree of COVID-19 Impact on Farming Clusters in India and Suggested Response.’ The session commenced with opening remarks and an introduction to the speakers by Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM. This was followed by Mr. Punit Gupta, Country Director, India, TechnoServe, who set the stage through his remarks and shared detailed insights on the findings of the report prepared by TechnoServe India on the subject. The report touched upon key agriculture sector challenges with respect to supply, demand and pricing, the effect of India’s economic slowdown on reduction in net farmer household incomes and the interventions needed to reduce value loss and safeguard farmer economics. While sharing an industry perspective on the impact of COVID-19 on the farming sector, Mr. Mukul Varshney, Director – Corporate Affairs, John Deere India, stated that agriculture cannot be looked at in isolation as the impact on the sector reaches across several industries, and in turn affects the national and global economy. AMCHAM’s Hyderabad Chapter organized ‘Distance 3.0 – New Normal’ on May 11th via Microsoft Teams. The guest speaker was Mr. V. Laxmikanth, Managing Director, Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. He walked participants through the history of the communication revolution, citing breakthroughs and why the session was named it 3.0. He also mentioned how the pandemic has made business leaders and corporates look more seriously at work from home (WFH) options. The four points to ponder included: Foundation barriers; Impact on individual; Impact on organization design; Impact on the economy/industry. The successful movers would be those mastering asynchronicity. Mr. Laxmikanth emphasized that trust was a key factor for synchronous work. We would start to see a local community connect. He suggested that health monitoring would be a main stay – monitoring body temperature and key vitals at businesses. He predicted the future is WFH with maybe 50/50 or 60/40 balance, depending on the organization.

U.S.-India Travel & Tourism Working Group Meeting

On May 7th, AMCHAM’s U.S.-India Travel & Tourism Working Group’s core committee conducted a conference call to discuss the current scenario of the travel industry, with a focus on travel from India to the U.S. specifically. Measures taken by the U.S. Tourism Promotion Board, Brand USA, to increase awareness of U.S. products to travel agents in India, as well as assistance that would be provided to airlines upon resuming flights, were highlighted. Marriott spoke about the measures being taken by hotel companies to increase safety for business and leisure travellers. A closed door meeting to brainstorm on regional investment plans and diversification of the supply chain to India was held on May 7th through AMCHAM’s Western Region. The webinar interaction included key stakeholders from the Government of Maharashtra, U.S. Consulate Mumbai and AMCHAM members that participated and shared candid views. Officials of the Government of Maharashtra shared an overview of the initiatives of the government and shared their keen interest to work in partnership with U.S. industry to create an ease of doing business in the state. A candid exchange of experiences and information including best practices and challenges were brought to fore. Expected reforms in policies, land issues and infrastructure were some of the challenges which needed immediate attention. Consul General David J. The Government of India and various ministries, including statutory bodies and institutions like the Reserve Bank of India, have announced several measures to ease the regulatory environment and help organizations deal with the adverse impact on their business. The webinar focussed on understanding the compliance framework and the changes. The speaker was Mr. Anshul Jain, Partner, PwC. AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter hosted a webinar on April 24th in which Mr. Gaurav Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Karnataka, addressed members on the impact of COVID-19 on industry in Karnataka and the efforts taken by the state government to mitigate the challenges posed by the pandemic as well as the outlook for industry as the lockdown begins to be lifted in the state. Mr. Gupta mentioned that the government was grappling with new issues to enable companies to go live and to see how economic activity could recommence. Their objective was to see how the investment is protected to the extent possible. Lots of countries are looking to pivot their investment from China to India and the state governments are looking forward to moving more business into Bengaluru. Medical Technology Working Group Meeting

Progress Review: Position Paper and Stakeholder Engagement Matrix for Advocacy in Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy

On April 20th, a small group within AMCHAM’s Energy Committee, consisting of members from Johnson Controls, Trane (Ingersoll Rand Climate Solutions) and Honeywell UOP met to review the progress of a position paper and stakeholder engagement plan to advocate the use of a leading refrigerant technology in the area of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC). While many good points were raised, it was felt that that the government was not giving this area enough consideration, therefore key stakeholders for advocacy were seen to be the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MOEF), Ministry of Power (MoP) and the Ministry of Urban and Housing Affairs (MOUHA). It was agreed that the proposition should be strengthened with international and Indian examples which showcase the benefits to global warming potential and gains in energy efficiency besides a commercial (ROI) case study over the product/equipment lifecycle. Since this is work in progress, the group planned to meet again in two weeks with inputs from members to fine tune the proposition.

On April 3rd, AMCHAM organized an exclusive webinar interaction with Consul General David J. Ranz, U.S. Consulate General Mumbai on business challenges and best practices of AMCHAM’s Western Region member companies in the times of COVID-19. The session commenced with a welcome and introduction of the Consul General. This was followed by Consul General Ranz sharing an overview of the initiatives and priorities of the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai, which included supporting U.S. companies in the region in an ease of operation with specific support to essential services in the unprecedented and challenging times of COVID-19. He also spoke of the efforts of the U.S. Mission towards the repatriation of U.S. citizens in India which were planned over the weekend. The Karnataka Chapter of AMCHAM hosted an interaction on March 31st with Consul General Robert G. Members were briefed on the steps taken by the U.S. Consulate during the lockdown period and members shared their challenges and concerns with the Consulate. Consul General Burgess talked about the initiatives being taken by the U.S. Consulate for U.S. citizens and for companies doing business in India by the Commercial Service. On March 31st, AMCHAM India collaborated with EY India on a dialogue between Mr. Kamlesh Varshney, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and EY Tax partners to discuss the recent amendments in the Finance Bill 2020 w.r.t to ‘Key Amendments in the Finance Bill 2020: Extension of Scope of Equalization Levy to Cover E-Commerce Supply or Services’ (via concall). The session commenced with EY India welcoming participants on the call and setting the stage for the discussion. Through his remarks Mr. Kamlesh Varshney, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, shared insights on the scope of the Equalization Levy which will cover e-commerce supply or services w.e.f. 1st April 2020. The Q&A session addressed key concerns of companies with regards the Equalization Levy. In his final comments Mr. Varshney stated that further updates and clarifications on the Equalization Levy would be shared by the Government of India.

AMCHAM’s Taxation, Tariff & Regulatory Affairs Committee met over a con-call on March 30th to discuss steps to be taken towards discussions with members and possible representation from AMCHAM on the new Equalisation Levy proposed in Finance Act 2020. The committee decided to make a representation to the Hon’ble Finance Minister bringing out concerns of AMCHAM members on the issue of Equalisation Levy. Session on ‘Introduction of E-Invoicing’ in partnership with KPMG

The Government has issued relevant notifications for the introduction of e-invoicing, which makes e-invoicing mandatory from April 1st, 2020 in respect of B2B transactions for any assessee whose turnover exceeds INR 100 crore and for B2C transactions for any assessee whose turnover exceeds INR 500 crore. This has a far-reaching impact for all businesses in excess of the turnover of INR 100 crore, irrespective of the sector in which the business operates. This session comprised of KPMG senior indirect tax specialists who shared their insights on the implications of e-invoicing requirements and what U.S. businesses need to do to comply with these requirements followed by a live demo of how IRN/QR code shall be generated. AMCHAM’s Medical Technology Working group meeting was held on February 20th at New Delhi under the chairmanship of Ms. Aileen Nandi, Honorary USG Chairperson – Healthcare Committee, AMHCAM and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy and Ms. Meenakshi Nevatia, Chairperson – Healthcare Services Committee, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Stryker India. The meeting encompassed discussions on pricing, standards, Make in India and data protection, along with an update on the advocacy and regulatory landscape for medical devices. Members pointed out the current situation of the medtech industry along with a few issues based on pricing frame work, standards, Make in India and regulatory challenges. Members enquired about opportunities to provide comments on Section 301 and whether the U.S. government plans to engage to seek comments from members. Based on the issues discussed during the meeting, members decided to meet Indian government officials in the coming month along with a position paper. On February 20th, the Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Core Committee organized a meeting at the BAE Systems India (Services) Private Limited office in New Delhi. Opening remarks were given by Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel: Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services (P) Ltd. The committee deliberated upon the two most common pain areas for any compliance manager – vendor compliance management and third party risks. On February 18th in New Delhi, Congressman Ami Bera, Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific and Non-Proliferation and Democratic Co-Chair of the India Caucus in the U.S. Congress and Congressman George Holding, the Republican Co-Chair of the India Caucus, met with AMCHAM members in the defense and healthcare sectors during an AMCHAM-USIBC joint closed door roundtable. Members shared with the Congressmen their growing concerns in the sectors and sought support in getting the concerns heard through the right channels. Both lawmakers promised bipartisan support to growing ties between India and the U.S. in diverse areas including trade and commerce, defense and strategic affairs. They also shared positivity in the hopes of India and the U.S. sealing the much anticipated trade deal soon.
